Founded in 1991, the DUO diagonal is one of the first professional tango ensembles of the new european tango-renaissance. From the beginning, both the concert tango and the danceable tango were equal parts in the repertoire of the duo. By collaborating with dancers from the Ballet Folklorico Nacional in Buenos Aires for stage shows and also with tango musician Alfredo Marcucci (Argentina / Belgium) and Luis Di Matteo (Uruguay), the DUO diagonal has refined his tango style and eventually evolved into its own language. |
